The Vanbreda International Desk

To support international business more effectively across the Benelux region, Vanbreda launched the Vanbreda International Desk (VID) — a centralised service hub for all reversed property & casualty business in the region. The VID manages all communications and reporting with our Lockton Global Partners for International Programmes — ensuring consistency, transparency, and rapid follow-up across borders.

The desk is led by Sara Brants, with daily operations handled by Hilde Polfliet for Belgium and Luxembourg, and Emily Kay for the Netherlands. Their combined expertise ensures a smooth link between local client teams and the international brokerage network. Thanks to this structure, the local Vanbreda teams — including our International Team in the Netherlands — can focus on client service while benefiting from streamlined coordination at the international level.

Whether it’s setting priorities, resolving bottlenecks, or ensuring timely delivery, the VID plays a pivotal role in our shared success.

Global Partnership supports real estate transaction

A recent collaboration with the Lockton UK Global Real Estate and Construction (GREAC) team illustrates the strength of our partnership. When a client, a major real estate owner, was preparing to sell a significant asset — part of the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) in Eindhoven, valued at €100 million — to the Municipality of Eindhoven, Vanbreda Netherlands was brought in.

Thanks to our strong presence in the region and deep understanding of the local insurance landscape, we were able to quickly arrange an introductory meeting with the municipality. Within days, the risk profile of the transaction was assessed and tailored solutions were delivered. This ensured that both the client and the municipality were adequately covered, allowing the transaction to proceed without delays.

The Eindhoven region plays a vital role in the Dutch economy. The BIC is a cornerstone of that regional innovation. This collaboration not only highlighted the value of local expertise but also opened new doors for future engagements in this dynamic area.
