Dov Friedmann – Trek26 Cotswolds
Dov Friedmann raised over £300 for the Alzheimer's Society. "It was a fabulous rainy day, with lots of challenges but I managed to tough it out. It was lovely to meet people along the way, all having some connection to this devastating disease. Thank you to everyone who helped support and encourage me on my Trek."
Ride London Essex – 26th May 2024
Our four riders, Tom Carruthers, Mark Hadlow and Hector and Rufus Camm all took part in the Ride London Essex bike ride and surpassed their fundraising target for Alzheimer's. All riders raised a total of £2,468.
Alisadair Stevens, Hamburg Ironman – 2 June 2024
Alisadair Stevens raised £2,425 for The Alzheimer’s Society also by doing the Hamburg Ironman on 2 June.
Lockton Steps Up for Alzheimer’s – 20th September 2024
The 23km Lockton Steps Up charity walk took place on Friday 20th September, with almost 300 associates, partners and insurers taking part. It was fantastic to see so many of you raising money for such a worthwhile cause. We raised a total of £202,732!
Scotland Kiltwalk – 28th April 2024
Colleagues from the Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh Lockton offices took part in the Scotland Kiltwalks to raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland and the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity. The Kiltwalk events took place on the 28th of April in Glasgow, the 2nd of June in Aberdeen and the 15th of September in Edinburgh. Each of the offices completed their walking challenges without any issues at all (maybe the occasional moan….) As you can see from the photos, not all heroes wear capes… some wear kilts!
The Big Half – 1st September 2024
A huge congratulations to our associates who completed the Big Half in London on 1st September, in the last of the summer sunshine. They raised over £5.5k for our Charitable Association!
Our people live and breathe our caring culture, making a real impact in their communities. This achievement is an amazing testament to the sweat (and potential tears) put in this last weekend to do just that.
Belfast Half Marathon – 22nd September 2024
On 22 September, Cameron Knell, Michael Maxwell, Clare Watson, Jack Dobson, Orfhlaith Catterson and Georgie Edmonds ran the Belfast Half Marathon and raised a total of £1,160 for the Lockton Charitable Association.
Trek to Cambodia – Sara Wetherall
Well done to Sara Wetherall who completed a 100k trek in Cambodia (Angor-Wat) with friends raising over £6,000 for Alzheimer’s through the Lockton Charitable Association.
Kent Downs
Jessica Steele and Elandamaria Skins participated in the Kent Downs challenge and raised over £800 for the Lockton Charitable Association, and they let us know that "The event itself was really well organised and fulfilling. We managed to walk the 53km in under 10 hours through mud, hills and the dark. We would recommend an Ultra Challenge to everyone!
