Lockton Global Partner Conference takes place in Chicago

Chris Brown, CEO of Lockton International, opened the Conference, thanked all for attending and for supporting our clients, noting that over 50 countries were represented and making special mention that of the top 20 brokers in the world, only Lockton is truly independent: focussing on our clients and our people and not on margin for external shareholders.

Michael Lombardi, Executive Vice President, Global Solutions, Lockton USA, compered the Conference and introduced the theme of resilience in the next era: talent, growth, and technology. He introduced senior leaders from Vanbreda, Lockton India, Diot Siaci, Lockton UK, and Funk who gave their insights on how they are rising to meet these specific challenges.

We heard from three US Producers giving Ted Talk style presentations on how they are winning multinational clients and the important role that the Global Partnership plays in this success.

Recruiting and retaining talent is critical to us all, so it was interesting to listen to a panel debate with Oliver James, a leading global talent solution provider, alongside colleagues from Lockton and Funk, for their insights.

In the afternoon we took a deep dive into three breakout groups:

• Global Teams are the advantage
• Introducing Navigator, a new technology platform for global clients
• People Solutions and their success in growing global benefit programmes

We finished the Conference with our keynote speaker, Ian Asher, Director of Global Risk Management at Jones Lang LaSalle, giving his views on the needs, expectations, and challenges facing global clients today.

In the evening, we held our Global Partner Dinner on the 17th Floor at 167 Green, Fulton Marlet, where we were joined by 20+ clients for an evening of networking and enjoying iconic views of the Chicago skyline at evening and at night. A great way to end the day and to celebrate our Partnership.
