Celebrating 100 years of GrECo
On 10 April 2025, GrECo celebrated a century of growth, innovation, and teamwork. From a small family business founded by Josef Gregor in 1925, we have faced challenges and risks boldly and decisively, creating solutions that ensure stability and enable growth. Over the decades, we have grown from a small family-owned business to a global organisation with an eye on the risks of the future.
Our strength is reflected not only in our market leadership, but in the way we have achieved it - side by side with each other and with our clients. Across teams, countries, and generations, it is a privilege to work together for a better, more sustainable future. Each of us is making a difference and helping to write the next chapter of our story.

International Business and Health & Benefits Conference 2025
Natalia Morris and Ewelina Jaworska-Bien hosted over 100 participants from 25 countries at the annual International Business and Health & Benefits Conference in Warsaw. Communication, resilience, and networking were key topics at this conference.
The broker panels and case study workshops provided were excellent platforms for sharing experiences and building connections. One of the highlights was the captivating podium discussions with our international network partners — all independent brokers similar to us. The insights shared were invaluable and reinforced the strength of our collaborative efforts. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and building on the connections made.
GrECo acquires majority stake in Comergon
In January 2025, GrECo acquired a majority stake in Comergon, a well-established privately-owned specialist insurance broker for corporate Property & Casualty risks and Health & Benefits solutions. This strategic move has strengthened GrECo's market position, expanded our footprint to Greece and Cyprus, and enhanced our service offerings in Southeastern Europe.
Comergon was founded in 1971 and today has 15 employees serving a strong client base of about 450 corporate clients, including both multinational and local companies. Known for its exceptional service and international connections, Comergon is a perfect fit for GrECo. Both companies, market leaders in their home countries, share a long history of family ownership and a commitment to excellence and innovation in the risk and insurance industry.
The acquisition of Comergon follows GrECo's recent completion of the transaction for MAI CEE Group and the establishment of subsidiaries in North Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, further demonstrating GrECo's commitment to expanding its footprint and enhancing its service offering. GrECo now has a direct presence in 21 countries, reinforcing its commitment to providing local, high-quality services throughout the region.
